Prohazing Comments

It never fails to puzzle me that when the topic of "hazing and or pledging" comes up, someone always discusses the extreme brutality and ignorance of some fraternity members.  You must ask yourself the question: For every one lawsuit how many individuals have gone through a "pledge" process and take away a very important and positive experience?  I pledged 11 years ago.  And yes the process was very "intense".  But that process taught me so much about myself and my line brothers.  It continues to be an inspiration to me when I face lifes difficulties.  So, make no mistake about it, killing, maiming, and crippling people is not something I would stand behind.  But a real "process" is none of the above.  It's intense, extremely trying, and not pleasant for the most part.  But some thing that are difficult to endure are, in deed, sweet to remember.
