On July 13, 2016, StopHazing President and Professor of Higher Education at UMaine, Dr. Elizabeth J. Allan, Ph.D. spoke to the United States Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) committee about hazing and hazing prevention on postsecondary campuses in the United States.
